GCSE Art students from Somervale are proud to announce that their artwork has been chosen by the Downs Syndrome Education Trust to front their new selection of greetings cards.
The students are delighted that the cards, which are sold in aid of the charity, have already raised over £100
The Downs Syndrome Education Trust, based in Southsea, Hampshire, helps thousands of people every week in over 130 countries around the world. It is the Trust’s mission, through research and education, to discover how people with Downs Syndrome best learn to help them to achieve more. The education services the charity provides also support families and professionals to help people achieve sustained gains in all areas of their development. Headteacher, Mr Michael Gorman commented, ‘I am thrilled for the students that their imaginative artwork has been recognised in this way and that by donating their work they are helping this amazing educational trust. We are all very proud of these students and their achievements.’
